The ESL Kuala Lumpur is one of the most anticipated Dota 2 events in December this year. With a million-dollar prize pool and some of the best teams in attendance, this event promises to bring back the excitement of Dota 2 esports after TI. Today, ESL announced four team invites for the event out of a total of twelve participants. The remaining eight teams will qualify via the various qualifiers.

The four teams to receive direct invites to ESL Kuala Lumpur 2023 are:
These were the top four teams fromThe International 2023.Team Spirit won TI12after a dominant performance in the Grand Finals and throughout the playoffs. They took down Gaimin Gladiators in the Grand Finals with a 3-0 score.

The Grand Finals defeat, however, does not take away anything from Gaimin Gladiators who had a near-perfect run through the lower bracket. After a second-place finish in their Group, Gaimin Gladiators started in the lower bracket against Evil Geniuses. En route to the Grand Finals, they took down several promising opponents including nouns, Team Liquid, Azure Ray, and LGD Gaming.
ESL One Kuala Lumpur: Open Qualifiers and Closed Qualifiers

The third and fourth-placed teams at the event were the two Chinese rosters - LGD Gaming and Azure Ray. For Chinese fans,ESL Kuala Lumpurwould be the perfect place to see their favorite teams bring on some form of revenge and better gameplay.
ESL Kuala Lumpur kicks off on December 11 and will continue for eight days. The event takes place at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre with a million dollars in prize pool. Bringing the excitement of Dota 2 esports to South East Asia the event has some of the best teams in participation. The first four team invites have already been announced.
