Revenant is reborn, but how can you make the most of his new abilities?
A true ambush character, Revenant is a niche character that specializes in unpredictable movement and isolation to defeat enemy Apex Legends. The recent Revenant Apex rework has given a whole new dimension to the assassin.

This complete reworkhas emphasised the hunter predator aspect of Revenant. He now has a kit designed not around griefing and silencing but sneaking up on his enemies. If you weren’t a big fan of the old Revenant, he is absolutely worth checking out in Season 18.
Our Apex Legends Revenant guide has everything you need to get started.

Apex Legends Revenant guide: What makes Revenant a good legend?
Revenant is a really strong aggressive legend. He can reliably win his 1v1s, if they are taken smartly. The extra health, movement and ability to climb to great heights
Weaknesses:
Revenant Tactical:
The Shadow Pounce is a terrifying ability to face. Revenant can leap up to 50 meters to chase down an enemy or they can escape danger. This ability is loud though!
Tips for Shadow Pounce:
Tip #1
Charging your tactical while facing straight down into the floor can give you a handy speedboost. This will launch you along the floor in one direction at a high speed. While the arc of the jump can be easy to hit and somewhat predictable, this will catch players out. It also works nicely to push someone quickly and not have to take to the air.
Tip #2
Don’t over extend with this ability. It can be really tempting to launch towards your enemies and make an opening. Perhaps you even combine this with your Ultimate to fly in with extra HP. However, this ability has a sizeable cooldown and that means you cannot quickly undo your decision and exit a fight. Revenant has a lot of power but it can be easy to put yourself in a tough situation.
Tip #3
Combine this Shadow Pounce with Revenants passive. Leaping onto a ledge lets you immediately transition into a climb. This could help you close the gap on an enemy or hit some advanced movement to escape pursuit. Doing the unexpected can be very powerful!
Revenant Passive:
Revenant’s passive can really duke players out. You can climb INSANE distances and really surprise unsuspecting players. No one expects to be climbed upon while your teammates push from the bottom of a building!

This is a cringe tip - but a tip nonetheless. If you’re looking to drop an absolutely huge mixtape game the new scans can help you identify which players are low HP. We’d never encourage you to steal easy kills, but if you wanted too, that’s how youcould.
Crouch walk as often as possible when enemies are nearby. Revenant can crouch walk as quickly as all other Apex Legends can walk (without sprinting). Use this to your advantage by quietly crouch walking anytime you would regularly walk and not want to be heard. Crouch walking is obviously much quieter and may be the difference in being spotted/heard or not.

Revenant Ultimate:
The Forged Shadows makes Revenant the true final boss of Apex Legends. He gains extra health, equivalent to a Blue Shield!
Tips for Forged Shadows
Focus on using this Ultimate when you have an isolated fight. In a 1v1 the 75HP is almost unbeatable (unless you miss all of your own shots!). However, if you get overconfident and think that Revenant is some sort of Apex terminator against whole teams - you’ll die.
This ability can also be really useful as a survival tactic. It has a low cooldown, so is isn’t an ability that you have to be cautious with. Popping the Forged Shadows to escape is quicker than healing. Plus, the extra health could even allow you to feel safer popping a medkit or a battery for example.

Finally, take advantage of the reduced Shadow Pounce cooldown. No matter if you are using this ability offensively or defensively the additional movement is crucial. Make sure you use the Pounce to close in when you are trying to isolate an enemy. You should have your Pounce back by the time you’ve won your 1v1 to escape their angry teammates!

Apex Legends Revenant guide: What legends work well with Revenant?
There is zero doubt that Revenant is designed for an aggressive playstyle. His kit is all around getting on the front foot and being aggressive. That doesn’t mean you can’t use him passively of course, but he is certainly better suited to aggression.
Aggressive Playstyles:
Conduit and Revenant might be the best combination in Apex Legends right now. Revenant’s Forged Shadows, combined with Conduit’s Radiant Transfer is an insane combination that results in your team having a crazy amount of health.
Passive Playstyles:
Put simply, Catalyst, Conduit and Wattson are all good passive legends. Of course, the Revenant Conduit combination still holds true. The same somewhat applies to Wattson, with her Interceptor Pylon healing.

Revenant is absolutely worth your time. He is deadly, if you learn to reign in his abilities and keep your discipline.
