It’s a sad day for the indie gaming scene, asBoomerang Xdeveloper DANG! has announced its imminent closure via apost on Twitter.

The announcement was made via a screenshot of a notepad document, causing some to wonder if this was a joke in poor taste, but the studio confirmed in the replies that it was really closing down. In the announcement, the team said the closure is primarily due to a lack of resources for its next game.

In the replies, one user asked about crowdfunding, to which the account responded that “we’ve discussed it before but it’s never quite made sense for our situation, unfortunately.”
