Emma Thompsonis one intimidating headmistress.

The actress, 63, is unrecognizable as she takes over the role of Miss Trunchbull in the upcomingNetflixadaptation ofRoald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical.

“Matilda Wormwood, criminals like you need a real lesson,” Thompson tells Weir at the end of the teaser trailer, which debuted Wednesday.

An official synopsis of the movie describes it as “an inspirational musical tale of an extraordinary girl who discovers her superpower and summons the remarkable courage, against all odds, to help others change their stories, whilst also taking charge of her own destiny. Standing up for what’s right, she’s met with miraculous results.”

The cast also includes Stephen Graham and Andrea Riseborough as Matilda’s parents, and Sindhu Vee as librarian Mrs. Phelps.

The film also starredRhea Perlmanas Matilda’s mom,Embeth Davidtzas Miss Honey and Pam Ferris as Miss Trunchbull.

In September, Netflix acquired the rights to the works of Dahl, who wrote other popular books likeCharlie and the Chocolate Factory,James and the Giant Peach,The Witches,The BFGand more.

The business movebuilt on a 2018 partnershipthe streaming service made with The Roald Dahl Story Company to produce content.

Currently in the works is aCharlie and the Chocolate Factoryseries fromOscarwinnerTaika Waititi.
