Today, we will look back at the seasonal map we will revisit in Fortnite Chapter 2 to prepare for what lies ahead.

A look back at the Fortnite Chapter 2 map

All indications are that Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix will take players on a journey fromChapter 2 Season 1 through Season 3, followingthe live event. These are arguably the most nostalgic seasons of the entire Chapter. Season 1 kicked off the first entirely new map in Fortnite history, introducing a mixture of new and old points of interest (POIs).

Chapter 2 Season 1 map

Epic Games presented nine new POIs while retaining the ever-iconic Pleasant Park, Retail Row, and Salty Springs. Many of these locations would become memorable in their own right, particularly Slurpy Swamp for its healing waters and Steamy Stacks for the pair of towers that offered guaranteed rotation. Chapter 2 Season 1 also introduced a proper swimming mechanic, making travel across the various bodies of water much more seamless.

This map had something for everyone: various islands, Chests, Landmarks, elevation changes, and water to traverse. It will be a solid way to kick off Chapter 2 Remix.

Fortnite plans to shake up the Battle Pass and other Passes beginning in Chapter 6!

Chapter 2 Season 2 map

The Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 map kept all previous POIs while adding five new drop spots. The Rig, The Agency, The Grotto, The Shark, and The Yacht are partly responsible for making this season arguably the best. Each POI contained a boss character you could defeat to acquire a Vault card and a Mythic weapon. After opening the Vault, various Chests were available to help build your loadout.

All five new Mythic POIs introduced an exciting element to the map, especially The Agency, where all the chaos happened. Of all the Chapter 2 Remix map changes, most players are looking forward to Season 2.

Chapter 2 Season 3 map

Chapter 2 Season 3 was perhaps the most controversial start to a season in Fortnite history. Epic Games boldly flooded the map following ‘The Device’ live event. The map above is precisely what players dropped into when the season finally launched. You would spend much time swimming unless you stumbled across the Whirlpools and vehicles to get you from point A to point B.

Beyond the flood aspect, The Fortilla and Catty Corner were the only brand-new POIs, while Rickety Rig and The Authority were new versions of The Rig and The Agency. Later in Chapter 2 Season 3, the map added Coral Castle, which would become one of the most disliked POIs in Fortnite history.

It’s unclear how Epic plans to handle the different flood stages, but the Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix season will conclude sometime in December before Chapter 6 launches.
