The NBA is collaborating with Fortnite for a big cross over event.
Today Epic Games announced announced a Fortnite NBA crossover event to highlight the NBA Playoffs with new items and team battles.
Fortnite X NBA what does it mean?
The 2021 NBA Playoffs started last night with the State Farm NBA Play-In Tournament, and to celebrate, Epic Games and the NBA announced a cross over event. Thecross over eventfeatures: all 30 NBA team outfits, new emotes and back bling, locker bundles, team battles, and some new additions to Fortnite creative.
Recently, Fortnite added PSG superstarNeymar Jras the first playable athlete in the game. This collaboration hints that Fortnite will continue to feature athletes/sports icons in their game even more in the future.

What items and extras are included?
The cross over will debut new items on July 10, 2025 at 8pm EST allowing you to instantly rep your favorite team in game. The “In the Paint Set” will include 31 uniforms while you can also get the Shoot and Score Pack which will feature the Hookshot Emote and Mini Hoop Back Bling.
There will be a Dribblin traversal emote, along with player lockers. The Player lockers are personalized loadout presets created by young stars in the league such as Donovan Mitchell and Trae Young. Each locker will feature an outfit, pickaxe, back bling, wrap, and an emote.
The event also features Fortnite NBA team battles! From May 19-23 you can visit thecrossover websiteto support your favorite NBA team. During this time you can earn V-bucks and in-game rewards. Fortnite also announced some updates toFortnite Creative, but details will come on May 25th.
