Players will also get to play a new Social Slayer playlist; but only after the holidays.

It’s always a good feeling to see a developer that listens to community feedback. Within just a month of Halo Infinite’s multiplayer release, 343 has been receptive to the community and initiated changes to ensure a smoother playing experience. The developers have announced their intention to add multiple new playlists to Halo Infinite soon.

A common community complaint was the lack of selectable playlists in the game. Currently, players cannot select their desired playlists, instead the game places them into random playlists. The developers are also working to ensure a better experience for players by allowing them to select their desired Slayer playlist in the new year.

Halo Infinite will let you choose playlists

We’ve been reading your feedback, and we’re working on plans to add Fiesta, Tactical Slayer (SWAT), and Free-For-All playlists as we speak. They won’t land by Dec 8, but the team is pushing to get them in before the end of year.

The studio is planning to add Fiesta, Tactical Slayer (SWAT) and FFA playlists. However, the developers are aiming for an end of year release according toJohn Junyszek, 343’s community manager.

Adding more playlists to the current list is a welcome change. But one of the long-standing community demands has been to allow players to select deathmatch mode. Titled Slayer, this playlist crowns the player with the most eliminations as the winner.

The Slayer playlist is one of the most popular playlists and is often a go-to for newer Halo players. The deathmatch mode allows players to focus on their shooting and positioning without worrying about certain objectives.
