Popular streamer HasanAbi was banned on Twitch on June 25, 2025, following his comments a few days ago about U.S. Senator Rick Scott. The creator even took to Twitter earlier today confirming his actions were what got him banned in a sarcastic post.

HasanAbi banned on Twitch, but for how long?

The creator’s Twitch page is currently unavailable. This comes just days after he made a comment regarding U.S. Senator Rick Scott. The streamer’s comment arose during a video talking about Medicare fraud in America.

“If you cared about Medicaid fraud, you would have k*lled Rick Scott,” said HasanAbi in his livestream.

While Twitch has not confirmed this was the reason for the streamer’s ban, HasanAbi took to Twitter with a post making it sound as if this truly was the reason.

“I’m sorry! I’ll choose my words carefully next time and say, “If Mike Johnson cares abt Medicare fraud (since he wants to cut 800m from Medicaid/Medicare) he’d call for MAX PUNISHMENT for current Florida GOP Senator/Former Gov Rick Ccott- who has done the most medicare fraud in US history!”

While many have mixed feelings about this ban, one popular creator did not hesitate to share his excitement.

Nickmercs reacts to the ban

Nickmercs, who is known for having polar opposite political views to HasanAbi, posted a response to the streamer getting banned on Twitch.

Nickmercs response was a man lighting a cigar and then waving goodbye as if to say he is celebrating HasanAbi’s ban on Twitch. However, HasanAbi did not let the creator have the last word.

“Remember when you d’med me to say it was really messed up that I made fun of Dr Disrespect’s cheating scandal “On bro’s wedding anniversary” and then unfollowed,” said HasanAbi in his response to Nickmercs on Twitter." But now you also bring up his infidelity? I hope we can resolve our other ideological differences in the future as well!"

At the moment of writing this, Nickmercs has yet to make a response.
