Hearthstone returns to DreamHack with a $20K Battlegrounds LAN tournament. How to participate and where to watch in this article.
DreamHack will host a $20,000 Hearthstone Battlegrounds Tournament, being the first big LAN event for the game mode. DreamHack Summer will take place in Jönköping, Sweden, on June 18-21. The Hearthstone Battlegrounds tournament will have a live broadcast on DreamHack’s Twitch channel for people not attending the event. Learn all the details in this Esportsgg article.

DreamHack Hearthstone Fest ft. Battlegrounds
2022 seems to be Battlegrounds' big year. Hearthstone Esports launched Lobby Legends, Battlegrounds competitive circuit, and now DreamHack is hosting the firstbig LAN event for the game mode. With $20,000 in prizes and the nostalgia of pre-pandemic tournaments, this DreamHackHearthstone BattlegroundsFest aims to be a great success!
Event Details
There will be no online registration for this 2-Day event. However, players wishing to participate in theHearthstone BattlegroundsTournament will have to make a pre-registration at DreamHack Summer on June 17th (6 PM-8 PM).
Registering to the Battlegrounds event doesn’t include a ticket to the festival, and there are no Hearthstone-specific tickets available. Players will need tobuy passesfor DreamHack Summer to play in the Hearthstone Battlegrounds tournament.

Moreover, players will need to bring their own devices to play in the event. The gaming tables will have European Outlets and Ethernet cables, so don’t forget to bring an adapter if you need it.

Tournament Format & Prizes
DreamHack’sHearthstone Battlegrounds tournament will featurean innovative format, similar to a Swiss bracket. Players will be seeded into 25 lobbies, each on a different round table with their opponents.
Bob will play King Arthur’s role, while the Round Table Knights compete for $20,000 in prizes.

The initial stage will consist of 4 Rounds in which the Top 4 players after 3 lobbies of each table will get a win, or “big point”, and the bottom 4 a loss and no points. In the second, third, and fourth rounds, players will be paired against others with the same score, as if it were a swiss bracket.

After 4 Rounds, there will be a top 16 cut that will become a single elimination bracket until a champion is crowned. Like the previous rounds, these matches will also consist of 3 Lobbies each. (Lobby point system TBA).
