Re-rolling is as much a part of gacha-gaming for players as power creep is for developers, and it seems thatZenless Zone Zerowill be no different. If you want to get off to the best possible start in New Eridu, you may be tempted to reroll, but is it worth it?

How to reroll inZenless Zone Zero

To re-reroll inZenless Zone Zeroyou will need to set up a new email address, a new game account, play for about 30 minutes to the end of the tutorial, and then do the pulls on theStar-Studded Cast Banner. You simply will not have enough pulls at this point for it to make sense to do any on the character Banner for Ellen Joe. The second you don’t get what you want from these pulls, you need to re-roll.

Is it even worth rerolling?

No. Not it is not, for a multitude of reasons. The first thing to know about re-rolling in Zenless Zone Zero is that you can’t do guest accounts. You will need to create a new account each time, which means a new email address each time. This by itself is pretty prohibitive, in my mind.

Secondly, that first 30 minutes of play is a dialogue-heavy tutorial with few skips, so you don’t want to have to repeat that over and over again. Thirdly, the drop rates are pretty low (0.6% for S Ranks), AND you can only really do them on the Star-Studded Banner because you will get Master Tapes, not Encrypted Master Tapes which you need for the character banner. After 300 pulls on that Banner, you get to pick your preferred S Rank from Star-Studded Cast, anyway.

Finally, and most importantly, the starting characters inZenless Zone Zeroare good. Yes, they might be free characters, but they have a lot going for them, and they make an excellent team.

I am crazy, and I want to reroll anyway, and you can’t stop me

Fine, you want to reroll and won’t see sense. I can dig someone with drive and vision. I honestly feel that Lycaon is the one to aim for. You are looking at aStun fighting stylewith Ice as an element, which is a very solid combination. The reason he is so strong is how quickly he can build Daze, a stun mechanic, and that was incredibly strong during the technically tests and is unlikely to have changed.

So, if you are aiming for a strong start, the humble butler is likley the best one, in my book. He also feels like he has the best utility across any possible team because of his easy Stun setup.
