LGD Gaming announced its return to the competitive Dota scene today.

LGD Gaming announced today on their official Weibo and Twitter that they are returning to Dota 2. After announcing a temporary departure from Dota 2 in March, this well-known team in the Dota community has declared their return to the Dota 2 scene.

LGD temporarily left Dota 2

After The International 2023, NothingToSay and planet left LGD and since then LGD’s performance has been less than ideal. In January this year, they moved their midlaner Emo to the inactive roster and welcomed Setsu. Unexpectedly, just two months later, they announced that their team would temporarily become inactive.

LGD announced its return

LGD Gaming announced their return via official social media today. Just as rumors had predicted, they replaced their midlaner, switching from Setsu to Echo, with no changes to the rest of the roster. According to their social media, the team has already gathered together and started training. Since most of this season’s tier 1 events are over, LGD’s new roster will likely make its first appearance in the open qualifiers for the Riyadh Masters 2024.
