A new promotional video for the upcomingSpyxFamilyanime adaptation was released during therecent Jump Festa event. The video revealed the series main cast alongside an April 2022 premiere.
The series will air for two separate cours, with the first running during the Spring 2022 season and the second half set to premier sometime after.

Takuya Eguchi will star as Loid Forger with Saori Hayami and Atsumi Tanezaki set to play Yor and Anya Forger respectively. Eguchi is best known for his roles as Hachiman Hikigaya inMy Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, and Takeo Gouda inMy Love Story!!. Hayami voiced Yukino Yukinoshita inMy Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU,andShinobu Kochou inDemon Slayer,while Tanezaki is best known for playingRascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai’sRio Futaba andThe Ancient Magus' Bride’sChise Hatori.
Both Wit Studio and CloverWorks will produce the anime. The former is best known for the first three seasons of the highly popularAttack on Titananime, while the latter most recently worked onHoriyama, Wonder Egg Priority,andShadow House.
Veteran director Kazuhiro Furuhashi willspearhead the series, and the music will be done by musical group [K]NoW_NAME. Furuhashi has been active in the industry since 1981, and has worked on classic series likeUrusei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku, Ranma ½,and more. He’s best known for directing the 1999HunterxHunteranime and 2019sDororo.
[K]NoW_NAME have worked on a handful of anime projects, doing the music and theme songs forDorohedoro,Grimgar: Ashes and Illusions, Sakura Quest, andFairy Gone.
Tatsuya Endo’sSpyxFamilymanga is serialized inShueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ magazine, under the Jump Comics+ imprint. The series began its run in 2019 and has amassed 8 collected volumes so far.
VIZ Media licenses the manga in English, andCrunchyroll will streamthe series as it airs.
