With a 4-0 sweep, Team Falcons achieved redemption on the international stage.
After looking unstoppable in the grand final against Al Qadsiah, Team Falcons won the 2025 Overwatch Champions Series (OWCS) Midseason Championship (MSC). The team swept Al Qadsiah across four maps to win the lion’s share of $1,000,000 USD. Kim “Proper” Dong-hyun even won an MVP award, adding to Team Falcons' celebrations.
From the LCQ to the very top: Team Falcons players win OWCS MSC 2025
Team Falcons went into the OWCS MSC tournament after duking it out in the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) event, making their rise to the top quite a satisfying journey. With a coach like Kim “SP9RK1E” Yeong-han working alongside well-known Overwatch 2 stars like Proper, Ham “SOMEONE” Jeong-wan, and Choi “MER1T” Tae-min, the team quickly became the favorite to take home the gold.
The live audience at the Esports World Cup (EWC) cheered for Team Falcons throughout their entire match in the grand finals as well. And the moment Team Falcons bested Al Qadsiah on Circuit Royale for the 4-0 sweep, the crowd roared louder than ever. The winning players jumped up from their seats, hugging each other for a job well done.

In the post-match interview, MER1T recalled winning the silver at the Champions Clash tournament back in April. However, with today’s victory, Team Falcons achieved redemption on the international stage.
“At the last OWCS, we actually landed as second, but now, we are back as the champions,” MER1T said. “So I’m really, really excited right now.”
SP9RK1E also shared his thoughts about the victory. “The players have shown up again and again and again with their boosted performance," he said. “So that was the reason that we literally get to lift the trophy right now.”
With this trophy lift, Team Falcons also added another major accomplishment to their records. Just last November, the players wonthe first-ever OWCS World Finals.
