Why The Second Half Of Fire Force Season 3 Will Be Amazing

Fire Force Season 3, Part 2 Premieres January 2026

There’s plenty of hype around the second half ofFire Forceseason 3, and it’s easy to see why. As shown in the teaser trailer above, the world ofFire Forceis slowly becoming chaotic as Shinra learns the truth about the Cataclysm and the Evangelist gets close to reigniting it, and anyone who has read the manga will know that this escalates into creative action and storytelling that’s unlike any other manga.Fire Force’s final act has some of the best writing in recent manga, and the anime will be great to watch because of it.

What’s even more exciting, of course, is theSoul Eaterconnection. In a surprise twist,Fire Force’s final arc revealed that it was a stealth prequel toSoul Eater, and not only will it be great to see that in animation, but withSoul Eaterstill being fairly popular,Fire Force’s final arc could lead toa long-awaitedSoul Eaterreboot. All of that is hypothetical, of course, but with how big a deal it all is, it’s nonetheless exciting to think about.

Why Fire Force Season 3 Might Have Trouble Sticking The Landing

Things Aren’t Looking Too Good For Fire Force Season 3

As exciting asFire Force’s final arc may be, there is cause for concern regarding the anime’s handling of things. While season 3 hasn’t been terrible, there has been a notable step down in quality with not just the animation, but with the pacing, as it’s adapting roughly 14 volumes of content across 24 episodes, despite originally having about 50 episodes for 20 volumes across the first two seasons.Fire Forceseason 3 has been nowhere near as good as the previous seasons, and that, unfortunately, might carry over into the second half.

All hope is not lost, however. The part 1 finale was, by far, the best episode of season 3 for how well it adapted the reveal of the pre-Cataclysm world, and with how vital that is to the final arc as a whole,Fire Forceseason 3 can be expected to at least have a good handling on the most vital parts of its final arc. The new teaser trailer doesn’t say anything about that one way or the other, but hopefully,Fire Forceseason 3 will still find a way to end on as high a note as possible.
