LoL esports fans will not have to wait long for the first LAN event of the year. Champions from across the globe will compete in the 2021 Mid-Season Invitational.
Every competitive League of Legends region learned their fate for the upcoming MSI 2021 event in Reykjavík, Iceland. Twelve teams will compete in a brand-new format for Riots second biggest League of Legends tournament.

Prior to the draw, all twelve major regions were separated into pools based on previous performances internationally. Here is how the pools shaped out:

Riots Director of Global Operations Tom Martell oversaw the group draw using software to randomly draw the teams into competitive groups.Teams from poolone were all drawn into three separate groups.
Who will be playing at MSI 2021?
At the time of writing this article, all of the competitive regions are currently hosting their split playoffs. The winner from each of these tournaments will be slotted into their already determined group for MSI. Here are the regions that will be represented at MSI and their potential representatives:

LCO (Oceania)
