Everything you need to know, from schedule to format, about VCT Americas 2024 has been revealed by Riot Games.
VCT Americas 2024 begins shortly afterMasters Madrid. While we don’t know the match lineup just yet, we have a ton of information from Riot Games. Let’s take a look at the group draw, how the Stages will play out, and when the league is active.
VCT Americas 2024 groups
VCT Americas 2024 is split into two groups, Alpha and Omega. The latter consists of an extra team, due to an odd number of rosters with G2 Esports entering through Ascension.

Stage and Playoff format
VCT Americas 2024 has two Stages. Similar to the 2023 league, each Stage has a Super Week, where teams will play twice. Every team plays a single round robin best-of-three schedule across the two Stages, and a random draw decided groups.
Stage 1 is cross-group play, meaning Alpha teams will play Omega teams. Stage 2, following Masters Shanghai, comprises of inter-group play. Alpha teams play the other Alpha teams, and Omega teams play the other Omega teams.
A playoff bracket happens after each VCT Americas 2024 Stage. During Stage 1 Playoffs, the top three teams from each group qualify. For Stage 2, the top six teams qualify, with the top two earning first-round byes. As always, each match is best-of-three, except for the best-of-five Lower Final and Grand Final.
The top three from Stage 1 move onto toMasters Shanghai. The top three from Stage 2 secure a spot at VCT Champions 2024 in Seoul, with a fourth slot designated for whatever team did not qualify that has the highest amount of Championship Points.
