Brand new Apex patch notes bring a major change to Wattson.
Todays Apex Season 25 mid-season Patch Notes are a huge day for Wattson mains, with a brand new Mythic Skin releasing alongside some major buffs for the iconic Legend. She gets a brand new mechanic that lets her electrify doors, as well as some buffs to allow her to place fences faster than ever before.
Elsewhere there are some notable changes to Vantage, Ash, Alter, Ballistic, Arc Stars and many more aspects of the game. This set of mid-season Apex Patch Notes continues the recent and notable trend of Respawn’s patches making sweeping adjustments to the game to help it feel fresh.

Major Wattson buff comes to Apex with Season 25’s mid-season patch notes
Wattson has long been an iconic character in the game, thanks to her in-game personality, association with Nessie as well as her unique abilities in game. However, as power has crept up across the seasons she has often felt a bit underwhelming and helpless to defend against the more aggressive options available.
These Apex patch notes bring a lot of changes to give her a bit more power to stand up to aggression. Her fences get a hugely reduced cooldown and double health. This makes positions she is defending harder to breach.
In addition, Wattson gets an all new mechanic with doors. Previously, Wattson and Doors were a fine balance as her fences destroyed them. Not having a door makes a building a lot harder to defend. Now, fences will electrify doors, making them carry the same properties as a fence. They also no longer will explode when they touch a fence.
These changes look set to make Wattson a really powerful Legend moving forward.

Other Season 25 mid-season Apex patch notes changes
Some other Legends are getting major changes on Tuesday. This includes a hitbox change for Vantage, decreased dash cooldowns for Ash as well as some much needed nerfs for Ballistic’s whistler tactical.
In terms of weapons, the R-301 is getting the Gun Shield Generator when these Apex patch notes go live. In addition, the 30-30 Repeater takes a damage nerf, with the Bocek Bow getting a buff. This could shift the long range meta a bit.
There is also changes to the Prowler SMG, and also some adjustments to Arc Stars.
