MLB The Show 25is the series’ latest chapter, which will be released globally on March 18. However, I am afraid there is some bad news for the PC Master Race members.
As usual, the latest release is developed by a PlayStation studio (San Diego Studio), but it’s not exclusive to Sony’s gaming ecosystem. However, like the last few years, the game is a console exclusive, which is bad news for those who play their games on PCs. For yet another year,MLB The Show 25will not be released on PC. It’s only available on the current-gen Xbox, PlayStation, and the Nintendo Switch consoles.
Why is MLB The Show 25 not on PC
The exact reason behind the game’s absence on PC is unknown. Usually, games developed by PlayStation studios are exclusively meant for the PlayStation console. In this case, the publisher is MLB, so it’s available for the Nintendo Switch and the Xbox Series X|S.
A major reason might be the mandatory requirement of a controller. You can also play on a PC using a keyboard and mouse, but a controller is compulsory for playing The Show games. This seems to be the likeliest reason why MLB isn’t publishing its baseball simulators on PC.
WhetherThe Showeventually makes its way over to PC remains to be seen. If you’re eager to playMLB The Show 25, the Nintendo Switch version will be the cheapest alternative (including the console price). To get the full experience, you’ll have to rely on the PS5 or the Xbox Series X|S console. You can opt between the Standard and the Digital Deluxe Edition.
While both editions are good choices at different prices, the Digital Deluxe Edition is perfect for those who will grind the Diamond Dynasty mode. It includes many goodies that will allow you a head start. If you buy the Standard Edition, there’s no early access, and you’ll have to waituntil March 18to enjoy the gameplay.
