You can pre-farm most of Yinlin’s materials right now.
Yinlin is arriving early to Wuthering Waves! Ahead of her release, check out this Yinlin Ascension Materials and pre-farming guide to raise your Yinlin as soon as she releases in Wuthering Waves version 1.0.
With the recent announcement, Yinlin’s release in Wuthering Waves is fast-tracked to July 08, 2025. She is the second limited character in the game, only preceded by Jiyan.

These are all of the materials you need to keep an eye out for to ascend Yinlin. Note that the higher-tier Whisperin Cores may not drop naturally, especially at lowSOL3 Levels.

Where to get Whisperin Core in Wuthering Waves
The Whisperin Cores drop from Whisperins, which are the following mobs in the Overworld:
Note that you’re able to go to Guidebook > Echo Hunting to see which Tacet Discords (mobs) drop which materials. Even if you haven’t encountered the TD before, you can still view which of them drop the needed materials. You can also tap or click “Detect” to see where they are on the map.
Drop tiers may vary depending on your SOL3 Phase. However, you’re able to use the Synthesizer for higher-tier materials even if they do not drop naturally.
The Weapon Shop is the NPC Uncle Wei. He can be found close to the Weapon Crafting station in Jinzhou.

Group Abomination Tacet Core location
The Group Abomination Tacet Core will be the material you need to farm. It drops from one field boss: the Mech Abomination. The field boss is found in the southernmost part of the map, in the Court of Savantae Ruins in Whining Aix’s Mire. There is a Resonance Beacon you can teleport to nearby.
The drop is guaranteed, but you need to use 60 Waveplates each time you beat the boss. The Mech Abomination respawns every 3 minutes, even if you are in the arena.
Coriolus Location
You need to gather a total of 60 Coriolus as part of Yinlin farming. Most of them can be found scattered in the Dim Forest area. Refer to the map below:
It can also be bought in the Shifang Pharmacy in Jinzhou for 3000 Shell Credits each. You can buy a maximum of 15 Coriolus weekly.

Here are all of the materials you should be farming for Yinlin’s Fortes.
As of the time of writing, the Unwarranted Feather is not yet acquirable and is therefore not pre-farmable.
The rest of the materials, however, can be farmed through the “Forgery Challenge: Misty Forest.” Refer to your Guidebook in-game for this.
